Fishing - Bude, North Cornwall
There are some fantastic fishing spots on the North Cornwall Coast. Bude canal is a
pleasant place to fish and watch the wildlife while being close to town centre
and all amenities.

Sea fishing from the
local beaches and rocks around Bude and Widemouth is popular
and catches
of Bass, Codling,flat fish, mackerel, whiting and dogfish are possible.
A number of boats operate Sea
Fishing & Sightseeing trips along the coast up to
Lundy
island,where one can often see dolphins, basking sharks and occasionally
sunfish.
Coarse fishing is permitted
on Bude Canal (Close season 1st April to 31st May).
Stocked
with carp, tench, rudd, perch and bream. Permits may be obtained from
the Bailiff
who patrols the canal bank.
South West Lakes Trust
manage coarse fisheries and trout fisheries offering
stocked rainbow, brown and natural
trout.
