Widemouth Beach

A short walk from Widemouth Farm cottages, Widemouth beach has long stretches of sand making it an ideal beach for families. The beach has RNLI lifeguard cover in summer months.
For Surfers, due to safety and consistency it is a favorite for the surf schools. It consists of both beach break and reef peaks including Salthouse, Camel Rock and Black Rock.If there’s surf, Widemouth will always have something to ride. Pay parking in two beach car parks and plenty of facilities.

To the South of Black Rock is Wanson mouth, a private beach, accessible via the coastal footpath, quiet and great for rock-pooling. The surf here can be fickle and for more experienced surfers only.

Bude Beach

A 10 minute short scenic coastal & cliff top drive from Widemouth Farm cottages and you’re in Bude with its two popular beaches ,summerleaze & Crooklets .

The main beach in Bude is Summerleaze,a sandy beach with a breakwater and rocky outcrops; a peaky beachbreak with shifting banks.

Between Summerleaze and Crooklets beach is a rocky outcrop ‘middle beach’ which is mainly submerged at high tide but has a nice shallow wave at tower rocks.
Crooklets is known for its fast, hollow peaks and if the banks are right check out ‘Wrangles’ the rock outcrop at the Northen end of the beach .
Both Beaches have RNLI lifeguard cover and plenty of parking and facilities, the town centre is only 5 mins away.
